Write for us

We welcome clear, original pitches about travel that help readers see a journey or place in a fresh and grounded way. Send proposals through the Contact page, rather than submitting a finished article.

What we are looking for

Ideas may explore trip planning, the character of a destination, the experience of a route, cultural context or ways to notice and remember a journey. We value a distinct angle, useful explanation and sensitivity to the fact that readers travel in different ways.

Make the pitch specific

Tell us the proposed subject, the central question or idea, why it matters to our readers and how you would approach it. Mention the likely format and any relevant experience or access you bring. A focused proposal is more useful than a broad topic or a list of possible destinations.

Editorial expectations

Pitches should be original, accurate in their claims and transparent about relevant interests or relationships. Do not include confidential information or assume that a proposal has been accepted. We will consider each idea on its merits and may request a different angle.
